President

Experience: 
Greg is a graduate of Iowa State University and began his career in private industry including Fortune 500 experience and operating as CFO of several companies.  He has been in public accounting and taxation for the past 14 years spanning a variety of industries.  He established the firm in 2018 with the core value of the firm being to provide comprehensive consulting services to assist in the success of clients including accounting, business management, corporate taxation and personal taxation.  He puts a high value on assisting employees to meet their potential personally and professionally.

Family Life & Hobbies:
Greg currently lives in Waukee with his wife Kara.  They have four children, Kiera, Brooklyn, Tyra and Gavin and enjoy spending time with their family, traveling especially internationally, sports including golfing and concerts.  

Daniel P. Horton 

Operations Manager

Experience: 
Dan is a graduate of the University of Iowa. Prior to joining the firm, he acted as the manager of a Sioux City law firm. At Jackson Tax, Dan strives to provide attentive and professional service to clients. Along with client services, he also oversees the operations of the firm including accounting, payroll, financial statement preparation and new client on-boarding.  

Family Life & Hobbies:
Originally from Sioux City, Dan currently lives in the Des Moines area with his fiancée Hannah.  Outside of work he enjoys sampling local craft beer, biking and college sports.  

Alicia M. Kunkel 

Senior Controller

Experience:
Alicia is a graduate of Minnesota State University in Mankato. She has more than 10 Years of public and private industry experience in tax, accounting, business management, payroll and human resources.

Family Life & Hobbies:
Alicia lives in Ankeny with her husband, Mike and her two sons, Sam and Dean. When she is not driving her kids to their many activities, she enjoys concerts, gardening, traveling, and reading.

James A. Carsrud 

Assistant Controller/Tax Preparer

Experience: 
James is a graduate of Coe College with an emphasis in Managerial Accounting and Business Administration.  His experience includes business and personal accounting and taxation.  His responsibilities for the firm include assisting clients with accounting, payroll, financial statements and tax preparation. 

Family Life & Hobbies:
James currently lives in the Des Moines area with his girlfriend Libby. In his spare time he enjoys playing golf, watching sports and spending time with family and friends.
